Summary
We are searching for a handy and motivated field electric technician/engineer with a first experience working on-site. Your technical expertise will assist our organization in deploying our products (hardware, monitoring devices) in our customers’ facilities, increasing client satisfaction, improving efficiency, managing risk, diagnosing problems, and complying with laws and regulations.
The ideal candidate for this role should possess excellent technical skills, be a good communicator (with both internal and external stakeholders), and pay meticulous attention to detail. The exceptional field engineer should diagnose and resolve problems, improve efficiency, mitigate risk, encourage business growth, and enhance and sustain relations with clients.

The role would be part of the Customer Operations team, in charge of customer onboarding, support and electrification consultancy. This role may evolve into a Field Engineering Management role with more coordination and management responsibilities.

Role and responsibilities
- Install electric components in customers facilities (hardware, electric meters, gateways)
- Conducting customer’s sites assessments
- Ensure on-site efficiency and safety at all times.
- Oversee equipment testing, maintenance, installation, and planning.
- Produce documentation and user manuals
- Analyze data, monitoring expenditure, and drafting progress reports and cost estimations
- Meet with clients and stakeholders.
- Conduct on-site diagnosis, fix and reparations activities
- Oversee/support third party technicians (external partners)
- Drafting and submitting reports to superiors and other key individuals.
- Contribute to build a European network of local partners (electricians, installers)
Requirements
Experience
- 2-year electrical, technical, or related degree.
- At least 2 years of experience in a field-related role
- Previous experience in installation of electric components on AC grids
- Good understanding of safety guidelines.
- Ability to do both AC and DC HV installations and also be able to move the heavy HV batteries
- Be able to carefully carry out measurements with an oscilloscope, for example, or correctly configure a smart meter
Soft skills
- Willing to learn about and master a large variety of products : EES, hardware, telematics
- Excellent problem-solving skills backed by solid technical knowledge.
- A versatile and service-oriented mindset.
- Strong multitasking abilities.
- Ability to work under pressure and complete tasks in a timely manner.
Communication
- Great communication skills
- German and English speaker (mandatory), other European language is a plus
Location
- Flexible working policy, the candidate can be based anywhere in Europe (but we do have offices in Paris, France ; Oensingen, Switzerland; Chemnitz, Germany ; Coventry, UK)
- Frequent travel to visit our customers installations in Europe
