Overview and purpose of role:

Reporting to the Women Buying and Merchandising Manager, your role will be to ensure the success of the Women Shoes & Kids businesses across EMEI (40 stores at the present) You will contribute to increase sales and achieve ST on the category, thanks to planning and delivering a balanced and cohesive range into stores, that reflects the Brand vision, emerging trends and market needs. You will support the business through the provision of accurate and commercially aware retail analysis and information to drive product performance and achieve Company Sell Thru target and financial goals. Your role is a key support function to the team, managing daily tasks as well as larger cross functional projects, working hand in hand with other departments and the stores.

Your 3 mains missions will be:

  • To follow and analyze the business to suggest actions.
  • Manage the stores requests (transfers, stock consolidation…)
  • Participate actively in the buying session

Key Responsibilities of the role:

Buying on Women Shoes & Kids Categories for EMEI

  • Assist the team during the buying session:
  • Work closely with retail team to differentiate what products sell in which region and buy accordingly
  • Creation of buying packs to support each store buy
  • Provide help to the buyer on pre-market analysis on Women’s lines based on past performances and seasonal sales trends.
  • Assist on the buy for each store and creation of assortment mappings.
  • Learn to use the buying tool to be able step by step to lead some store buy
  • Exhaustive pricing search on our peers to be able to inform on pricing for the new shapes
  • In charge of entering / cancelling orders and reorders, sizing, market split

Merchandising responsibilities

  • Perform reporting, weekly analysis of product sell through and provide analysis on business performance to inform on actions to take
  • Reallocation of the stock between the stores to optimize sales and sell through. Work actively on stock consolidations across the retail business including the warehouse, boutiques, concessions and the factory.
  • Carry out a consistent competitive analysis (trends, product offer, price positioning) and create the best format to share it
  • Support the business for example during store sales, events, and store opening.
  • Work hand in hand with the retail merchandising coordinator to maximize business
  • Work on product training plans for all new launches
  • Develop a strong relationship with the stores managers to understand store specificity and their clientele

Skills and Requirements

In order to deliver the main responsibilities of the role, you will need the following skills:

Technical:

  • A minimum of 1-2 years’ experience in a similar position.
  • Strong communication and analytical skills
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Someone who uses initiative with a hands-on approach and the ability to prioritize.
  • Ability to work in fast paced environment.
  • Fluent in French and English both verbally and written is mandatory. Other languages are appreciated.

  • Adaptable and flexible. Must be comfortable with change and willing to adapt as required to the needs of the business
  • Effective time management skills. Must be punctual and reliable, able to perform tasks within the required timeframes.
