Network Security Engineer (Cloud)
Location: Paris
Duration: 6-month contract with the potential for a permanent offer
Remote: 2 days per week remote, 3 days on site
Start Date: September
Glocomms is seeking a skilled Network Security Engineer to join our team in Paris. This role is pivotal in safeguarding our network infrastructure and ensuring the security of our data from various threats and vulnerabilities.

Key Responsibilities
Ensuring Network Security
- Develop, review, and approve installation requirements for network environments.
- Document technical and functional requirements of the network.
- Regularly audit network infrastructure for vulnerabilities and security breaches.
- Establish remediation plans to address identified vulnerabilities.
- Monitor tools for risk mitigation recommendations.
- Evaluate network strengths and weaknesses.
- Manage network security tasks on cloud platforms.
- Investigate and mitigate cloud network risks.
- Design and implement public key infrastructures.
Threat and Attack Awareness
- Understand potential threats and attacks, particularly those targeting internet environments.
- Analyze, detect, and respond to cyber threats.
Maintaining PCI DSS Compliance
- Work actively to maintain firewall compliance with PCI DSS.
Active Participation in Deployment and Maintenance
- Participate in the deployment of security solutions and ensure their maintenance.
- Keep systems and software updated to eliminate obsolescence.
- Test the final security structure.
System Patch Management
- Deploy security patches regularly.
- Ensure the hygiene of network platforms regarding security.
Compliance with CISO Requirements
- Meet the requirements issued by the CISO.
- Review CIS compliance reports and remediate as needed.
- Establish compliance plans if necessary.
Safety Status Report
- Report regularly on security status, including patch tracking and vulnerability management.
- Be a member of the Computer Emergency Response Team (CERT).
Log and Incident Management
- Implement log file management.
- Monitor and track critical incidents and events daily.
- Check log files for anomalous behavior daily.
System Hardening
- Reinforce network configurations based on CIS policies.
- Coordinate remediation plans from vulnerability management processes.
- Regularly assess network vulnerability.
Building Networks
- Evolve infrastructure or provide new services as per business needs.
- Manage software upgrades and patch management.
- Replace equipment as part of obsolescence management.
- Ensure firewall compliance and connect new partners.
Running Networks
- Administer Firewall Security Devices (FortiGate), Network Equipment (HPE Aruba, Juniper), Remote Access (Netskope), Cloud Networks (Azure, GCP), Load Balancers (FortiADC, F5), and DNS DHCP (Infoblox).
Network Support
- Provide L2 support for infrastructure components.
- Provide N3 support in troubleshooting applications or network services.
- Manage vendor support services.
Rich Technical Environment: LAN, MAN, Security (FW, WAF), VPN, Cloud, automation, HP, Fortinet, GIT, F5, SDWAN, etc.
Qualifications and Competencies
- Strong knowledge of network and security concepts: LAN, WAN, VPN, firewalls, routers, etc.
- Expertise in solutions: SASE (CATO), Firewall (Fortinet), Load Balancing (Fortinet, F5), DNS DHCP (Infoblox), Remote Access (Netskope).
- Advanced understanding of security protocols, cryptography, and security (HTTPS, SSL, IKE/SA, etc.).
- Experience implementing network security solutions.
- Good understanding of ITIL concepts (vendor management, incident management, change management, etc.).
Education and Experience
- Bac +5 engineering degree in computer networks and security.
- At least 5 years of experience in IT, including 2 years as a Network Security Engineer.
- Knowledge and experience in Cloud concepts are essential.
- Certifications in IT security or risk assessment are an asset.
- Proficiency in English (written and spoken).
