Our client, a world leader in digital timing and time display solutions is currently looking for a qualified Pre-Sales technician/Technicien Avant-Vente (H/F) (CDI) with a technician bakground or an initial experience in delivering technical and commercially oriented pre-sales (avant-vente) support to clients , ideally for international clients.
Focused on the Public sector as well as the Sports industry and with an ambitious international growth strategy , you would be trained on LED video screen, cube displays and digital time display boards to support cutting-edge Electronics, Hardware, Software and Networks based technologies. These are used by hundreds of sports teams and venues in France and in over 140 countries.
You will become a trusted partner when new products are launched and to provide support, alongside two colleagues focused on product support.
Our client is proud to design, develop and produce their products in France and you would be based at their historic headquarters in the south of the Maine-et-Loire (49).
The position
The Pre-Sales Support Technician is based on the Export team, focused entirely on the international markets, making this a great opportunity to combine you technical and language skills in English and French. You’ll provide vital pre-sales introductions of new and existing products to clients across Europe. You’ll help to develop the product knowledge of local distributors and key accounts.
The responsibilities
On a daily basis you’ll provide technical assistance for the Commercial team on our client’s Time and Sport ranges, this will include :
- Carrying out the follow up and evolution of the sales process from a technical standpoint.
- Analysing client’s requirements to propose the best solutions to them according to their needs.
- Supporting the commercial teams as a technical product expert when they need to provide technical responses to clients (diagrams, conformity lists)
- Analysing and responding to functional questions during the “appels d’offre”/”calls to tender”.
- Proposing the best adapted solutions to clients and participating in their presentation to clients.
You would also :
- Keep an eye on competitor solutions and product ranges to be able to provide a technical comparison to clients when required on our customer’s product range.
- Training clients, distributors and key accounts on our client’s product range of Time and Sports Timing solutions.
- Lead webinars for product presentation remotely from our client’s office.
- Carry out some product support to support your technical support colleagues when required.
- As part of your role you will also be required to travel within France and abroad to present the company’s products at expositions and trade shows.
Candidate profile required
- You have a technical qualification at BTS, DUT or Licence professional level ( Electronics, Electro-Mechanical/Electro-Technique/IT/Systems and Networks, Industrial IT…)
- Strong client-facing communications skills.
- You enjoy working in English as well as French, with fluency or a very advanced level ( spoken and written) in both languages.
- You have excellent telephone communications skills, enjoy leading training and responding to written technical requests.
- You’re organised, can prioritise tasks and have a keen teamwork oriented personality.
- You can deliver convincing and engaging presentations , that will be at the heart of the position.
- Able to travel abroad 2-3 times a month for around a week in total.
- Able to work from the office 4 days a week after training and 1 day a week from home ( when not travelling internationally )
- Fluent or advanced Spanish or German would be beneficial but are not essential.
