About the Role: Under the R&D Process Manager supervision, you are responsible for finding innovative, economically efficient and technically adapted responses to the needs of DOMO in relevant timing, allowing the marketing of new (or improved) processes, new solutions, new services as well as technical support for existing products and processes. Your main missions are:


  • Identifies and propose projects / Process Improvement actions that will support DOMO’s competitiveness from a product and operation efficiency standpoint
  • Contributes to the development of DOMO’s Industrial Property and to the enrichment of the DOMO Industrial R&D "innovation pipe"
  • Manages the project/studies they are responsible for:
  • Defining the scope in terms of objectives, stakes, resources needed (internal and/or external)…
  • Developing the project plan and identifying the key milestones on a time horizon of typically up to 1 year
  • Identifying quick win and/or taking controlled short cut (not impacting safety) in agreement with their hierarchy and the program managers
  • Supervising laboratory activities and carrying out experimentations when needed
  • Planning and making best use of allocated resources
  • Interpreting and presenting results to customers
  • Ensuring adherence to planning and milestone completion
  • Guarantees the quality and reliability (standard test) of the work carried out in their project team
  • Interprets and translates results to support customer/top management decision making process.
  • Prepares written reports (highlights, laboratory report, technical report) on the work of their team and delivers oral presentations tailored to the need of the audience (peers, customers, top management, plants…)
  • Proposes and defends the investments necessary for the smooth running of the research and ensures the follow-up of its realization
  • Ensures transversal management of technicians on their project and actively contribute to their development
  • Behaves on a daily basis in strict compliance with DOMO HSE rules and instructions, make sure that these rules are applied in their area of responsibility and actively participate to improve safety management


Your profile:

  • Master degree / Chartered Engineer in the field of process engineering/industrial engineering
  • At least 3 years of professional experience in a similar position
  • In-depth and applied/working knowledge of process engineering unit operations
  • Knowledge (applied or non-applied) on all others unit operations (Distillation, reaction….)
  • Basic knowledge of the fields with which they interface (mainly chemistry and analysis)
  • Able to develop simulation tools using VBA for Excel, Aspentech tools, others…
  • Project management
  • Functional management
  • R&D activities methodologies (bibliography - data analysis…)
  • Fluent in french
