Data Privacy Specialist

Paris, France

The Chief Data Protection Officer (CDPO) is in charge of setting up the AXA XL Division data privacy strategy and leading the 2nd line of defence Privacy team to achieve ongoing compliance with regulatory and AXA Group data privacy requirements.

The Data Privacy Specialist (the "Specialist") will play a key role in supporting the AXA XL Division in meeting its obligations under data privacy laws and in safeguarding responsible usage of AI within the AXA XL Division. Reporting to the Divisional Chief Data Privacy Officer (CDPO), the Data Privacy Specialist will support Data Privacy and AI compliance matters and assist the CDPO.

What will your essential responsibilities include?

· Participate in ongoing safeguarding of usage of AI Systems within the Division:

· Perform review of AI Systems in line with existing guidance in collaboration with CDO team and Business, and in collaboration with other DP team members,

· Participate in the review and update of the AI Risk Assessment Framework, follow-up regulation and guidance

· Participate to compliance projects to meet data privacy regulatory requirements in collaboration when required with 1st line of defense and Data Privacy team

· Adapt when required guidance and instructions to comply with new or evolving data privacy requirements, coordinate and lead trainings

· Performing Transfer Impact Assessments and Data Privacy Impact Assessment on projects and tools.

· Performing 2nd line of defense controls when required, supporting Data Privacy team in performance of those controls when required, train new team members

· Review for appropriateness service or business contracts under which personal data processing activities are performed.

· Update Register of Processing Activities with Business

· Assist CDPO in :

· Coordination of collection of information from Data Privacy team members, challenge information received, prepare presentations for CDPO, take minutes of meetings, review DP team update to watch process tracker, and other organization tasks

· Follow-up of local DPO & Legal work – notably in APAC region,

· Work with CDPO executive assistant on agenda of Data Privacy team deliveries, update yearly Data Protection Policies for Legal companies,

You will report to the CDPO.

· GDPR on-field experience – 1 - 2 years in France, with good knowledge of GDPR

· Legal background

· Project Management skills

· Leadership skills; including the ability to work with all levels of seniority.

· Takes initiative. Ability to lead subjects independently.
