We are seeking a 6-month full stack development intern, preferably with experience in cloud computing, for our Research and Development office in Lyon (Villeurbanne). Candidates must be ready to kick off in Lyon by September 2024 and should be studying computer science or software engineering in France.

Through our enriching student program, we aim to cultivate the next generation of engineers and technologists.As a student intern, you will contribute to the development of our cutting-edge simulation software while gaining hands-on experience in your field of study. You will collaborate on impactful projects to support, enhance, and accelerate ANSYS products.In this internship, you will contribute to our Cloud, AI, Solutions, Enablement Business Unit's vision by aiding in the creation of developer tools that integrate with our simulation platform to promote broader access to Ansys technologies.This internship will commence in September 2024 and conclude in February 2025.RESPONSIBILITIES - Collaborate with software developers throughout the design, implementation, and verification processes.- Utilize full-stack development to create tools and experiences that assist internal and external developers.- Participate in a continuous delivery DevOps process for managing releases and deploying features.- Contribute to documentation and guidelines.- Investigate issues in production code.- Develop unit and regression tests.MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS - Pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related technical field with substantial programming experience.- Currently enrolled in a full-time degree program and planning to return to university following the internship.- Exposure to web, application, or full-stack software development.PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS - Experience with Integrated Development Environments (IDEs).- Proficiency in Python scripting.- Familiarity with cloud-based computing.- Experience with Remote Procedure Call (RPC) or HTTP Remote API.- Knowledge of Web Programming Languages: Angular, JavaScript, TypeScript.At Ansys, we understand that transforming the world requires vision, expertise, and collaboration.
