Job title: Art Teacher Quantity: 01 School: EMASI Group of Schools Report to: The Teacher will report to Managing Director, EMASI Schools, or a designated member of the leadership team.

Job overview: EMASI schools offer a bilingual program, following both the Ministry of Education & Training (MOET) and integrated curriculum based on the Cambridge International Curriculum Framework.

The Art teacher is responsible for the delivery of the Art Program in Grades 1 through 12 in line with the EMASI curricular framework.

The teacher will develop students' understanding and appreciation of Visual Arts.

Paid breaks during Winter and Summer Holidays Sick leave applicable TRC/Visa sponsorship Tuition fee deduction for dependant as children Health insurance Responsibilities and Duties: The Art teacher is required to exercise her/his professional skills and judgement to carry out, in a collaborative manner, the including but not limited to the professional duties set out below: A member of the teaching staff team has the following academic responsibilities: To provide an organized, disciplined and stimulating environment in the classroom.

To promote practical first-hand experiences and other educationally appropriate activities for individual and group learning.

To provide consistent learning opportunities for all pupils.

To make written and/or oral assessments and evaluations of individual pupils and of the class as a whole – presenting these to the presenting these to SLT, Coordinators and parents as appropriate - meeting specified deadlines as required.

To keep detailed and updated lesson plans and records of group and individual work with the pupils.

To provide regular assessment feedback to pupils in line with school policy and use this to inform future learning.

Work collaboratively to offer support and input to the development of a broad, balanced, relevant and differentiated curriculum.

Under the direction of the line-manager/ subject coordinator to take responsibility for designated areas and aspects of the subject of which he/she is a member.

To take responsibility for the care, upkeep and development of school materials and resources.

To assist and support the process of examination and class work moderation both internally and externally.

To work collaboratively with fellow colleagues in a spirit of mutual cooperation to maintain and enhance a pleasant professional working environment.

To substitute for absent colleagues when necessary.

To undertake any other reasonable task or duty as instructed by the Managing Director or designated member of the leadership team.

To attend punctually on all occasions agreed in the contract and as reasonably requested by the Managing Director or line-manager.

To complete all admin tasks by the school's required timelines.

A member of the teaching staff has the following pastoral responsibilities.

To carry out fully and efficiently pastoral and administrative duties as assigned by the line manager.

To be responsible for a reasonable number of playground, lunch and other duties as may be required.

To offer full support, take an active part and input into the development of a broad, balanced, relevant and differentiated extracurricular program within EMASI.

To support and implement the positive behavior policy.

To undertake any other reasonable task as instructed by line manager.

Qualifications: Relevant Bachelor degree and recognized teaching qualification.

Experience: Experience with previous experience in an international/bilingual school setting an asset.

Previous experience of the Cambridge International Curriculum Framework and curriculum development desired.

Competencies: Knowledge: Genuine interest the specific field from both a pedagogical and theoretical perspective.

The ability to work well with faculty and staff from diverse cultural and linguistic backgrounds and be resilient, resourceful and have an optimistic personality.

Health & Safety, SEN and Child Protection procedures.

Develop and maintain positive links necessary within school and with all its stakeholders.

Pedagogical approach that fosters student agency and transdisciplinary learning.
