We are looking for a Train Design Engineer to join our Train Design department (Mechanical). As a key player in a project, you will be in contact with a wide range of professions.

Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate and execute Train Design activities in accordance with technical requirements, customer specifications, budgets and schedules.
  • Lead the coordination of the various trades: interior design, cab, body structure, integration of mechanical equipment.
  • Define the architecture of the train sets: seating arrangements, equipment layout.
  • Ensure the resolution of mechanical integration problems.
  • Ensure the followup of the studies of the transverse disciplines such as the gauge, the acoustics, the ecodesign, the ergonomics, the aerodynamics, etc...
  • Establish validation and certification plans in collaboration with the Validation department.
  • Support the Sourcing, Industrialization and Production teams during the product development phase.

Requirements:

  • 3 to 4 years of experience as a Mechanical Engineer in the railway sector.
  • Customer satisfaction and successfully completing a project in accordance with the requirements are motivating factors.
  • Good communicator, sense of priorities and structured are terms that define you.
  • Good interpersonal skills and a strong ability to work in a matrix, multisite and international organization. Occasional travel in France and abroad is to be expected.
  • Fluent English and French.
