Position: Advanced Tech. Engineer - Oil and Gas Industry

Location: The position is based in Saint Quentin en Yvelines (78) Paris, France. You may be required to travel in France and abroad.

Job type: Permanent contract - Full-time

Mission:
  • Provide a support to the Offshore Business Unit activities of the Saipem Group, in terms of advanced and non-conventional structural analyses and numerical simulations
  • Develop new criteria, new methodologies and new components to be applied for the design and installation of subsea field development and sealines system

Job Tasks:

Reporting to a Lead Engineer of the department, you will work on our subsea structures for Offshore projects and you will be required to:
  • Validate the installation methods to be recommended through analyses performed in accordance with international codes, customer specifications and internal best practices;
  • Confirm the technical choices according to the marine environment and the specifications of the equipment and materials concerned (structures, risers, sealines, subsea equipment, etc.);
  • Work closely with the design and installation methods teams;

Job Requirements:
  • Engineering degree (general mechanics, material strength, hydrodynamics, civil engineering, mechanical engineering, structural and/or naval and maritime architecture).
  • You are familiar with the installation of rigid pipes, particularly in deep water, J-lay and Real-lay, the installation of hoses and umbilicals, and the deployment of structures;
  • You are proficient in OrcaFlex software;
  • You are rigorous, precise and enjoy challenges;
  • Fluency in English is a must;
