The Incumbent is expected to have a range of competencies and experience including:
- Graduated from top Business/Engineering School or master's degree
- Minimum 7 experience of renewable and or energy markets
- Language: French & English.
- Excellent knowledge of the renewable energy market and regulatory framework, as well as associated financial markets.
- Project financial skills.
- Project management expertise and experience in organizing and facilitating high-stakes meetings.
- Strong analytical, modelling and risk skills / Good knowledge of Excel, other MSFT
Activities
The owner's representative plays a crucial role in representing the project/P&L owner's interests (Director) and ensuring the successful development and execution of renewable energy projects.
• Coordinates the work of multidisciplinary teams involved in projects through project reviews before each gate.
• Participates or leads the handover steps according to the described process.
• Monitors project progress and ensures compliance with schedules and budgetary constraints.
• Identifies project risks and ensures their follow-up.
• Participates and examines the economic assumptions of projects to optimize them.
• Verifies the completeness of project documents at the end of development (authorizations and contracts required to proceed to the implementation phase) and validates them. In this capacity, becomes the guarantor of the quality and profitability of projects before investment decisions.
Ensures that the project meets the required Company's quality standards
• Participates to the organization of the investment committee review in collaboration with project development managers: prepares investment notes, verifies business plans in coordination with the Financial Modeling team, analyzes cross-cutting project issues, ensuring that constraints (technical, environmental, accounting, legal, tax, etc.) have been adequately considered, and relevant departments have been consulted before any investment decision.
• Contributes to the improvement of the project management process.

• REN Business Unit:
o REN is Total Energies' Division in charge of the development, construction, O&M, asset management and financing of renewable projects: large and small scale (distributed generation) solar, onshore and offshore wind, off-grid energy, storage.
o Its strategic objective is to accumulate 35 GW by 2025, 100 GW of operational renewables by 2030 (end of April 2023 baseline : 18,2 GW)
o Given this ambitious growth agenda, the rapid pace of operations, and the regular changes, agility and fast-learning are imperatives:
• To deliver the objectives of top management
• To continue capturing market opportunities
• To hone our innovation capacities
• While industrializing processes and streamlining our organization
