engineering change guidelines, uptime and availability (installation timeline) in support for our Customers
productivity to improve their satisfaction.
Technical Centre Engineer is expected to deliver a superior customer experience by exhibiting our core
principles.
The candidate is required to be responsible for product/upgrade installation work packages, delivering on time
solutions that meet the requirements of the approved PSCL.
Main Responsibilities:
• Ownership of all project's hands-on activities within the Technical Center and extended scope to the
customer sites. Asking for support from RTSE (regional technical support engineer).
• Daily reporting of activities including timeline updates. Prioritize and balance own workload, making good
use of time to achieve organizational and personal goals. Main point of contact between On-site
installation, FSE and the Technical Centre team (Project Manager & Development engineers).
• Apply technical knowledge and troubleshooting methodology to assess problems, analyse logs helping
in determining the root causes to the Development Engineers. Share configuration best practices with
customers and colleagues, Support service team with installation/specific setting
• Support the development engineer (s) to complete specific NSTA (non-standard test addendum) for the
finished product together with safety review (when required). Responsibility for ensuring Safety reviews
are followed up and systems are fully compliant before they move to production
• Report all non-conformities during upgrades for both NSTA & PSCL to the project manager to ensure
the document is fully completed before the final release. Ensure SOP, NSTA, PSCL are understood and followed
during installations.
• Work with the project Manager in ensuring the Technical Centre is maintained in accordance with all
legislative, landlord and Edwards/Atlas Copco policy Safety, Health and Environment requirements
established by the EMEA CC SHE organization and Edwards France safety consultant.
• Ensuring that the Technical Centre is equipped, operated, and maintained in accordance with all
Edwards/Atlas Copco policy Quality & Compliance requirements established by EMEA CC quality
organisation start to apply VTPS principle.
Skills / Knowledge:
- Must have the ability to read, and understand the Process & Instrumentation Diagram (P&ID), Electrical & Controls Schematics
- Knowledge of Understanding BOM formation and executing the work packages by using all technical documentation provided for the projects
- Must be computer literate and have an understanding of installing Windows and software
- Must have sufficient English language skills to understand the Instructions for the upgrade
- Undertake operation of electromechanical assemblies to specification, operation of equipment
- Perform 1st level of troubleshooting on the projects
- Must have knowledge of FIFO, 6S and other facility management skills
- 3D printing experience is not mandatory but is preferred
- Experienced with basic troubleshooting methodologies
- Experience with mechanical fittings, joints, and welding knowledge will be preferred
- Must have experience in conducting electrical testing including Flash tests, Continuity tests, Earth
- bond test, Insulation and Winding resistance and other tests specific to the multimeter and PAT testing
- Must have a sense of responsibility for keeping yourself and others safe during the work
Experience
- Ideally 3 years of industrial experience in a related field
- Technical expertise, combining mechanical & electrical
- Experience in the Semiconductor Industry will be beneficial
- Experience in Vacuum Process applications will be beneficial
