Mantell Associates has partnered with a reputable medical equipment manufacturing organisation to aid them in their search for a Technical Sales Rep to join the team.

Technical Sales Rep - Responsibilities:

  1. Cold-call prospects that are generated by external sources of lead
  2. Identify sales opportunities by researching and identifying potential accounts for Business Developers
  3. Identify and deliver qualified opportunities to other team members
  4. Ensure follow-up by passing leads to appropriate team members with calls-to-action, dates, complete profile information, sources, etc.
  5. Collaborate with appropriate team members to determine necessary strategic technical sales approaches
  6. Maintain and expand the company's database of prospects
  7. Make outbound follow-up calls to existing clients via telephone and email
  8. Handle inbound, unsolicited prospect calls and convert into leads for Business Developers
  9. Enter new customer data and update changes to existing accounts in the corporate database
  10. Prepare technical sales/business development reports
  11. Attend periodic technical & sales training where applicable
  12. Appropriately communicate brand identity and corporate position

Technical Sales Rep - Requirements:

  1. University or college degree in marketing, business, medical or clinical research related discipline, or an acceptable combination of education and experience
  2. One to two years of direct work experience in a sales/technical sales capacity
  3. Experience in opportunity qualification, pre-call planning, call control, account development, and time management
  4. Knowledge of sales principles, methods, practices, and techniques
  5. Fluency in English (Written & Spoken)
