As a future Investment Data Analyst, you will report to the Head of Quant Data, and you will be part of AXA IM Global COO.

The incumbent is a member of Quant Data team, part of the Data & Analytics Management department, the in-house center of expertise with regards to data and analytics administration, quality, and governance.

The Quant Data team supports several data sets used by AXA IM's quant investment processes (e.g. fundamental data). The team oversees BAU processes, manages data quality, and works on projects and enhancements. The Quant Data team works closely with colleagues based in different locations (e.g. London, Paris, Singapore, Orinda (USA)).

Your role and responsibilities will include

Provide fundamental data support to Quant Portfolio Manager

  • Monthly fundamental data checks: validating financial statement items by comparing them between different sources.
  • Follow up on fundamental data issues and questions.

Provide support and manage data quality for data sets used by quant investment processes.

  • Monitor data quality, follow-up on data quality issues and improve data quality controls.
  • Manage production issues and questions.
  • Oversee business as usual (BAU) processes.
  • Provide specifications for new requests and contribute to user acceptance tests (UAT).
  • Work on projects (e.g. onboarding new data sets, implementing new data quality controls).

Your qualifications and experience

  • Undergraduate Degree in any field
  • Experience working with financial statement data, e.g. book value, net income.
  • Independent and responsible. Previous experience working with minimum oversight.
  • Experience working with financial market data will be an advantage (e.g. corporate action data)
  • Experience using Bloomberg terminal will be an advantage.

Your knowledges and skill

  • Basic knowledge of SQL, e.g. select queries using joins.
  • Proficient using Excel for data analysis (e.g. pivot tables)
  • Fluent in English (reading, writing, speaking)
  • Basic knowledge of python will be an advantage.
