With an ambitious goal of removing a billion tons of CO2 by 2050, this company is developing the most energy-efficient and scalable Direct Air Capture (DAC) technology on the market.
Their innovative approach combines two CO2 desorption technologies to overcome the limitations of current processes, making large-scale deployment feasible without unsustainable energy, land, or water usage.
Job General scope:
As a Lab Technician, you will play a vital role in supporting the development of the Direct Air Capture (DAC) technology.
Working closely with the Electrochemist Engineer, your primary responsibility will be to operate, assemble, and maintain various electrochemical setups in our R&D lab.
You will contribute to experimental plans, conduct R&D tests, and perform advanced analytical measurements that are essential for advancing the technology.
Main Objectives:
- Operational Excellence: Assemble and operate electrochemical setups, ensuring all instrumentation is correctly configured and maintained for reliable and consistent performance.
- Experimentation: Conduct R&D tests as outlined in the experimental plan, gathering data to evaluate the performance and reliability of various electrochemical processes.
- Measurement and Analysis: Perform advanced analytical measurements, including Total Inorganic Carbon analysis, Electrochemical Impedance Spectroscopy, and Cyclic Voltammetry, ensuring accuracy and precision in all data collected.
- Equipment Maintenance: Regularly check, maintain, and calibrate laboratory equipment to ensure optimal performance and compliance with safety standards.
- Reporting: Draft detailed test reports and present findings to the R&D team, contributing to the continuous improvement of the electrochemical processes.
- Collaboration: Work closely with the Electrochemist Engineer and other team members, as well as external partners, to drive the successful development of the core technology.

Qualification requirements:
- Educational Background: A BAC +2/+3 degree in chemistry, electrochemistry, materials science, or polymer chemistry.
- Practical Experience: Proven experience in operating and assembling instrumentation on pilot setups, with a strong emphasis on hands-on work in an analytical chemical or metrology laboratory.
- Technical Expertise: Proficiency in conducting R&D tests, managing advanced analytical measurements (e.g., Total Inorganic Carbon, Electrochemical Impedance Spectroscopy, Cyclic Voltammetry), and maintaining laboratory equipment.
- Execution and Results-Driven: Demonstrated ability to execute experiments reliably, draft comprehensive test reports, and ensure the replicability of results.
