Role: Quantitative Researcher - Crypto Asset Management

Location: Paris, France (Remote working possible)

Salary: €150,000 fixed + variable bonus

Our client is seeking a talented and motivated individual to join their quantitative hedge fund. As a Quantitative Researcher, you will play a crucial role in conducting quantitative analysis of cryptocurrency markets, developing trading models, and contributing to the optimization of investment strategies. This role offers the flexibility to work remotely while collaborating closely with the team based in Paris.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct quantitative research and analysis of cryptocurrency market data to identify trading opportunities and patterns.
• Develop and backtest quantitative trading models using statistical methods, machine learning algorithms, and other quantitative techniques.
• Monitor and evaluate the performance of trading strategies, making recommendations for adjustments and enhancements.
• Stay abreast of the latest developments in cryptocurrency markets, blockchain technology, and quantitative finance.

Qualifications:

• Master's, or PhD degree in a quantitative field such as Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, Engineering, or Finance.
• Strong understanding of financial markets, particularly cryptocurrency markets, and familiarity with trading concepts and strategies.
• Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, R, or MATLAB for data analysis, modelling and algorithmic trading.
• Experience with statistical analysis, time series analysis, and machine learning techniques applied to financial data.
• Excellent problem-solving skills, critical thinking ability, and attention to detail.
• Effective communication skills and the ability to work independently and collaboratively in a remote team environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Previous experience in quantitative research or algorithmic trading, particularly in cryptocurrency markets or traditional financial markets.
• Familiarity with blockchain technology, decentralized finance (DeFi) protocols, and cryptocurrency trading platforms.
• Experience working with large datasets and proficiency in data visualization tools.
• Knowledge of risk management principles and portfolio optimization techniques.
