D2M Services is currently seeking a DPA to join its Client Team for a permanent position.
As the Designated Person Ashore , you will be designated by top management with the responsibility and authority for monitoring health, safety, security, cybersecurity, and pollution prevention, ensuring adequate resources and appropriate shore-based support in accordance with ISM Code Ch.4 and MSC-MEPC 7/Circ.5.
Your duties include:
- Compliance:
- Ensure compliance with IMS and all relevant international rules and regulations.
- Perform all duties in accordance with quality, health, safety, environmental, cybersecurity, and ethics policies.
- Propose and implement a continuous performance improvement plan, to be reported and reviewed periodically.
With Company:
- Keep the ISM certification of the company up-to-date for each assigned flag.
- Plan, implement, and follow up on internal audits for the head office, subsidiaries, and agencies.
- Analyze reports issued on dedicated software.
- Participate in the Emergency Response Team as per Group organization.
- Monitor Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) for vessels.
- Ensure training of shore and ship staff.
- Manage your team effectively.
With Vessels:
- Act as the direct contact for the master.
- Supervise the implementation and application of ISM, MLC, ISPS, and ISO certifications.
- Plan internal audits for ISM, MLC, ISPS, and ISO.
- Plan external audits for ISM, MLC, and ISPS.
- Supervise the implementation of the Ship Security Plan.
- Analyze vessels’ reports on dedicated software.
- Ensure effective implementation of corrective and preventive actions.

- Proven experience as a DPA in the maritime industry
- Health, Safety and environment culture;
- Internal auditor training;
- DPA/CSO training.
- In-depth knowledge of safety and environmental regulations (ISM Code, SOLAS, MARPOL, etc.)
- Excellent communication and leadership skills
- Demonstrated ability to effectively manage and coordinate safety-related activities
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Proficiency in English, both written and oral
