What will you be doing?

The intern will be integrated into the Rigid Pipelines team in Design & Analyses Engineering department of Subsea 7 GPC & AP (Global Project Centre & Asia Pacific). This department is in charge of the engineering of subsea pipelines and tie-in systems for offshore construction projects. The development of in-house engineering tools is an important mission for the team.

The aim of the internship is to develop Data Science and Machine Learning tools with the aim of analyzing technical data related to the design and technical results of analytical and numerical calculations (FEA) of rigid pipelines from old projects and the industry in general. This exercise makes it possible to move from a reactive approach to a proactive and predictive approach, thus improving the performance of tasks and analyzes as well as the profitability of projects and for tenders.

In particular, your mission will include Data Collection and Preparation, Exploratory Data Analysis (EDA), Development of Machine Learning Models, Validation and Optimization of Models, Visualization and Deployment

The work shall be summarized in a validation report and will include a clear guideline for other users.

What experience would we like you to have?

Engineering student in final year of engineering school/civil engineer in data science/Master in University, with training in Mechanical/Civil/Computer Engineering.

Knowledge and mastery of Python programming and data visualization.

Good knowledge of visualization tools like Tableau, Power BI, or Python libraries like Pandas, Matplotlib, and Seaborn to visualize the distributions of variables

Good level of English required

Good level of French (preferable).
