At AXA, we are looking for a Data Management Lead to join our team and drive our internal AXA GO Data & AI transformation. Under the leadership of the Chief Data Officer for Group Operations, you will work towards strengthening data quality management and data availability to make data and AI impactful business enablers across company Data Domains.

Primary Mission:

As a Data Management Lead, you will be the data ambassador and support the operational Data Business Owners to get valuable insights and information helping them to drive more efficient decision making, to optimize processes and operations, and to measure the success of their Business Strategies.

You will actively support Data Domains Owners to provide users with high-quality Data that is easily accessible, leveraging data as an asset through rigorous data documentation, ensuring data quality and compliance with privacy and security rules. You will also support and advise teams in their use of data.

As the process owner for the Data Quality and Data by Design processes, you will act as a facilitator between Business Data Owners/ Stewards, Data Privacy/ Security and IS/ Projects teams, both in build and BAU mode as regards the use of the right data and the needs for its quality.

Key Responsibilities:

Enforcing Data strategy by ensuring Data Standards are known, defined and implemented.
Supporting the implementation of the Data by Design process along with Data Architects, Data Privacy Officer and other stakeholders.
Supporting Business Data Owners & Data Stewards in their Data management activities, including implementation of data frameworks in their data domain.
Managing and implementing the data quality framework.
Acting as Data Privacy 1st line of defense, monitoring and enforcing compliance with the requirements and rules on personal data.
Monitoring accesses to data on Data Platforms through a dedicated governance with privacy and security support.
Providing evidence for internal controls on data management controls.

Your Profile

Profile, Skills & Competencies:

Technical & Business Skills:

Scientific training / IT (engineering school, master) with good notions in probability / statistics.
Mastering Data Management practices as described for instance in the Data Management Book of Knowledge (DMBOK from DAMA), including Data Lifecycle Management across Core IT & Big Data ecosystems as well as Data Privacy & Security constraints and Data Mesh/Data Product approaches.
Good knowledge of one of business data domains (IT, Procurement, Finance, HR).
Good knowledge of Information systems and underlying technologies (databases, data lakes, data integration).
Mastering a Data Visualization Tool (PowerBI, Tableau or other) and query languages.

Soft Skills:

Ability to lead and coordinate a network of stakeholders from various backgrounds (data scientists, actuarial teams, data stewards, etc.).
Organizational skills and rigor in execution.
Pragmatic, flexible and adaptable, able to work in ambiguous situations.
Ability to move from abstract concepts to concrete.
Ability to clearly articulate messages to a variety of audiences and to communicate complex ideas effectively – both verbally and in writing.
Ability to influence others and move toward a common vision or goal.
Ability to operate with different cultures.
English proficiency.

Profile:

Between 10/15 years work experience required in Data Management with a proven track record.
