We are looking for a Head of Audit M/F on a permanent contract at our site in Templemars (59).

Overview

Strategic Oversight: Support the Internal Audit & Risk vision by developing and executing a risk-based, flexible audit plan for allocated entities or functions, ensuring balanced coverage of Group and local risks.

Leadership and Reporting: Lead the audit plan’s delivery, provide timely findings and recommendations, and prepare reports for senior management and Board members.

Stakeholder Collaboration: Establish consultative relationships with key stakeholders, participate in Audit Committee meetings, and serve as a point of contact for expert advice on risks and controls.

Team Development and Efficiency: Lead and develop the audit team (2 direct reports and 7 auditors in 2 different locations), fostering a diverse and engaged workforce, leveraging data analytics, and optimizing resource use to drive productivity and efficiency.

Continuous Improvement: Stay updated on best practices, enhance audit methodologies, and contribute to knowledge-sharing across the team and business. Manage budgets effectively and ensure efficient use of external resources when needed.

Requirements

1. Communication & Influence: Must have excellent interpersonal and communication skills and be able to gain the respect and attention of all levels of management to local Banner Board level. Adjusts communication style to the audience to help them understand and accept the change.
2. Leadership: A high level of initiative, resilience and proactivity is required. A high degree of personal integrity and independence/autonomy combined with a considered and mature outlook. Able to add value in a considered and diplomatic manner. Dynamic, with a positive ‘can-do’ approach.
3. Teamwork & Collaboration: Able to build effective relationships across the business, with peers outside own team, understand the impact of their own behaviour on others and modify it accordingly to effectively influence.
4. Decision Making: Able to solve problems with creative and pragmatic ideas, making sound judgements based on balancing any operational risks against the impact (or benefit) to the customer.
5. Process: Strong intellect and analytical skills. Strong attention to detail, but where necessary can apply a pragmatic solution.
6. Strong Capacity to Work in an International Environment: English required.
