FPSO STRUCTURAL ENGINEER

SUMMARY :


We are looking for a Senior FPSO Structural Engineer for structural studies involving the integration of modification constraints, internal and client interface integration, design proposals, finite element analysis, and associated calculation notes.

The position will be based in Lorient or Brest with limited remote work possible.


Do you have experience on conversion of vessel to FPSO for major project ? Then this is the ideal role for you



YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES :


  • Performing structural studies independently.
  • Supervising other structural engineers/drafters.
  • Participating in internal and client meetings.
  • Analyzing technical issues and proposing solutions.
  • Collaborating with drafters to design structural solutions.
  • Incorporating instructions and feedback, making technical decisions.
  • Conducting structural calculations with iterative and self-verification processes.
  • Adhering to allocated deadlines and budgets.
  • Providing regular progress reports on structural studies.
  • Preparing and verifying structural specifications, calculation notes, technical design notes



YOUR EXPERIENCE :


  • Experience in naval and offshore structural studies
  • Managerial experience
  • Experience in in-place, lifting, and installation calculations
  • Experience in linear and elasto-plastic calculations of metal hulls and beams
  • Knowledge of BV Ship and Offshore, API, and AISC standards
  • Proficiency in FEMAP software (NASTRAN solver), ISYMOST/NSO



YOUR PROFILE :


  • Master degree in Engineering (mechanical focus) or equivalent
  • Minimum of 8 years of experience in naval and offshore structural studies
  • Fluent in English; proficiency in French is a plus
