Technical ( IT ) Project Manager
I’m seeking a Project Manager with strong IT operational experience. My international client wants to hire the services of a Technical Project Manager for a 6 month contract assignment with strong possibility of further renewals. The role is based in Strasbourg in France and consultants will need to expect to work on site at the customer premises.
Tasks and Responsibilities of the Project Manager
- Manage the design, development and implementation of software systems, including interoperability components, as per user-defined requirements;
- Define project scope, goals and deliverables;
- Prepare and maintain project and quality plans and track activities against the plan;
- Estimate time schedule, budget and resource requirements for the successful completion of each project as per agreed terms of reference;
- Be pro-active to resolve issues from a resource capacity and project deliverables viewpoint;
- Guide and support the team project activities, review their deliverables, and monitor and provide timely and accurate project progress reports to all stakeholders;
- Coordinate the change control procedure;
- Follow-up and manage the daily activities of the project;
- Assess and IT Infrastructure, IT operations and service delivery;
- Good knowledge of the development of web and multi-tiers web application;
- Good knowledge of the web services stack used in the IT technology.
Required Skills and Experience of the Project Manager ?
- University studies in a relevant field, preferably in IT
- Minimum 10 - 12 years of experience in the defined area of expertise and IT operational experience
- Consultative Project management in the IT software development and quality related areas;
- Experience in planning quality implementation and quality testing activities.
- Capability of working in an international/multi-cultural environment, understanding the needs, objectives and constraints of those in other disciplines and functions;
- Excellent leadership qualities and communication skills;
- Strong drive to achieve results, solution oriented;
- Experience in European projects and large scale systems;
- Biometric security solutions experience and quality assurance techniques for biometric recognition software applications and databases (nice to have).
- Knowledge of DevOps practices
- Fluency in both written and oral English, good command of French is an asset
