On behalf of our team, we are looking for a Cloud Platform Architect. You would be working on-site in Toulouse, with a generous distribution of working hours into the hybrid model.
You would be involved in strategy development and implementation to ongoing optimization and innovation of our Earth Observation (EO) cloud platform. You will be responsible for the delivery and implementation of our cloud solutions to the customers and partners of Serco.
Responsibilities:
- Design the structure of Earth Observation applications
- Select the appropriate cloud services and resources
- Configure the cloud infrastructure
- Implement security measures following guidelines
- Monitor the performance of EO applications in the cloud
- Provide expertise and guidance on EO cloud platform-related matters
- On the definition of the architecture of our platform, within a project team, by meeting the requirements of our customers and partners
- As a technical leader of the functional areas advise our customers/partners to optimize their business processes
- Manage the technical and functional meetings of the EO platform solution with the various stakeholders, whether external customers or internal project team
- Focus on finding the right tools or partner, and the ability to make trade-offs that require prioritizing different competing demands
Profile:
- Bachelor’s in Engineering, Computer Science, or related with 5 years experience OR Master’s with 3 years experience
- 3-8 years experience in software engineering
- 2-4 years of experience working on cloud projects
- Cloud architect certification is a plus
- Experience in the space industry is appreciated along with existing knowledge in Space Applications (e.g. Earth Observation, Remote Sensing, Navigation)
- Strong analytical skills with proven ability to assess technological and industry trends
- Good knowledge of cloud micro-architecture platforms using Kubernetes and Docker
- Experience in the use of public hyperscaler in projects
- Good knowledge of Excel and PowerPoint
- Fluent in English, knowledge of additional languages is a plus
- Ability to work in an international and multicultural environment
- Ability to work independently, and as part of a team
- ALL CANDIDATES MUST BE ELIGIBLE TO WORK IN THE EU.
On Offer:
- Full-time permanent contract
- "Cadre réalisation de Mission" for 38.5 hours/ week with 12 RTT per calendar year , overtime
