What You'll Do


As a Senior IT Consultant Industry 4.0, you will work closely with case team members to assess and coach our clients' IT teams, define IT strategies, architecture solutions and apply your technical know-how and understanding of business contexts. You will be responsible for owning the delivery for a specific project 'module' and help develop technical concepts for that 'module'. You will coach other project members and help lead other consultants in their own work stream when possible. As part of our BCG Platinion consulting team, you would work on a variety of technology topics, applying your architectural consulting skills to strategic technology questions. You will be supported by an extensive training curriculum (the same program as all BCG consultants), plus technology-specific training and mentoring to help you build your skills.   • Analyzing complex PLM+ business processes to generate value at enterprise level
  • Identifying non-trivial technology decisions facing a client
  • Storytelling about architectural building blocks and their importance for the R&D and manufacturing Customers performance
  • Road mapping and business case development Controlling & Managing
  • Advising on core R&D and/or Manufacturing transformation frameworks (e.g. Industry 4.0, Manufacturing 5.0, Lean Engineering, Model Based System Engineering)
  • Contribution to the development of a network in the BCG technical community and leveraging it for our clients
  • Comprehensive skills of industry R&D and/or manufacturing (e.g Industrial goods, healthcare, retail)


What You'll Bring

  • At least 6 years of experience in PLM and R&D digital delivery, or technology consulting
  • You will have relevant experience from a top consulting firm (focused on technology, digital initiatives)
  • Outstanding analytical and conceptual skills, strong customer focus and mental agility with a results orientation in a problem-solving environment
  • Program transformation experience with at least one PLM program and associated functional domains (e.g xBOM, MBSE)
  • Track record of Agile consulting and advisory with experience in Digital and Agile transformations at scale
  • Experience in IT organization and process development
  • Deep understanding of different integration patterns and best practices such as events, synchronous vs. Asynchronous, including integration of PLM systems with ERP, Data and digital platform
  • A University degree with above average academic performance
  • Fluent in English and French
