Commercial Aircraft looking for an Embedded Software Development Engineer (m/f) for Software Integration and V&V in Toulouse.
You will join the "Avionics Software" department, within "Avionics and Simulation products" engineering domain. This organization is an in-house avionics equipment and simulators supplier. Engineers in this domain are responsible for the design, the development (full V cycle), the production and the support of critical embedded products (e.g. Flight Controls, Flight Warning, Communication, Maintenance equipment) for all Airbus aircraft. This organization is also Chamber of Reference on Software and Electronics thanks to accomplished and experienced teams. The scope of activities also extends to other Airbus divisions and partners in some cases.
As successful candidate, you will work on avionics real-time software, and more specifically on new features and new components for our reusable Critical Operating System DO178 DAL-A deployed on a new Avionics Product Line.
You will BE in charge of performing the integration of software components / executables and software integration testing on host & target locations taking into account methods and tools, airworthiness rules and ensuring the trade-offs on technical, business and industrial goals. This job requires an awareness of any potential compliance risks, as the foundation for our success, reputation and sustainable growth.
This job is requiring technical skills on Embedded Critical Operating System and Software verification.
You will join a software team in charge of the development of the software components which are part of embedded avionics applications such as Flight Controls, to run on specific or modular hardware platforms.

Your challenges :
In an environment with industrial and certification constraints (DO178B and C, DAL A to C software), you will :
Verify that the system's requirements are correctly & completely implemented
Contribute to qualification of the system in the frame of customer acceptance or certification
Define interfaces between function or systems and in managing consistent implementation in system(s)
Define Test strategy, test preparation including environment set up, test execution and functions analyze for system / sub-system / equipment / component / module. Integration and verification activities will require the use of hardware and test means such as probes, bus analyzers and emulators.
Value the customer needs and challenge them to propose common and reusable solutions.
Ensure the related support activity : failure report analysis, answer to technical requests.
Improve the ways of working; bring new design solutions and technologies.
Define, follow-up and receipt the subcontracted activities and deliverables, in conformity with the subcontracting management rules.
Manage your activities following the expected schedule, budget and quality.
Participate to the improvement of the Department performance.
You will also participate to some software Chamber of Reference activities such as assessments of Airbus equipment suppliers.
You will report to a manager accountable for set of avionics software products inside an agile organization with dynamic role assignments.

Critical Real-Time embedded software development vs certification (DO178-C, DAL-A)
V cycle development process, focus on the right part of the V, namely integration and verification
Programming languages : C in embedded context
Multi-Core Power PC architecture
Software engineering methods and tools (standard DEVOPS environment)
Open mind-set, good communication skills and good team working
