Who are we looking for?


We are looking for our future talent, with a Oracle DBA profile, to join our client, a leader in the travel industry.


This mission gets a special taste with the challenges and opportunities brought by the current migration of the entire infrastructure to a Public Cloud and the launch of the next generation of products.


Goal of the mission is to design, operate and automate our DB stack on test and production platforms:

  • Assist the database operations team in the implementation, configuration, security, maintenance, and performance tuning/monitoring of the database tier as assigned.
  • Ensure the availability and performance of existing and future enterprise applications using Oracle, MySQL mainly, as well as NoSQL and other emerging database technologies.
  • You will partner closely with cross-functional teams that include Development, Product, DevOps and Architecture to ensure delivery of our applications at the highest level of quality and performance.
  • Contribute to the definition of SLAs/OLAs, and drive the enforcement and definition of operational requirements / NFR requirements in collaboration with application owners and middleware organizations
  • Build & and ensure usage of monitoring tools (Kibana/Argos/Prometheus/Grafana) to find problems, raise alert, and ensure that we meet our SLAs/OLAs


Incident response:

  • Try to target auto-recovery (monitor, build/define alerting, and provide automation to achieve it)
  • In case of not-automatically recovered issue, ensure first full recovery. Once solved, analyse the root-cause of the issue, liaising with the development teams if needed, implement a specific monitoring and automate a response that will manage auto-recovery if the same issue happens again
  • Proactive incident management in synchronization with frontline services and Incidence Response Team
  • Assist developers in debugging application & performance issues
  • Foster process reengineering and optimization
  • Document configuration processes and policies
  • Operate the platform and help defining new operation models


The main role as DBA is to ensure the platform is healthy and can be easily managed, in strong collaboration with DevOps / R&D. This means:

  • Ensuring the platform is up and running and in good shape,
  • Contributing to its maintenance and evolution
  • Participating to change process in test and production environment


Work with software engineers developing the solutions and also infrastructure providers to help delivering smoothly latest versions in production in a safe and controlled manner.

Improve the platform stability and usage efficiency while maintaining it secure

Contribute to solutions benchmarking and help identifying improvement points in the DB side and queries (applicative code, smart joint, temporary tables, hints)
