Position Summary :
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Innovation Project Management Officer to support our Chief Innovation Officer (CIO) in managing and executing cutting-edge research projects. In this role, you will be essential in ensuring the smooth transition of research initiatives into our Product Department, helping to develop innovative products that align with our mission. You will work closely with research engineers, manage internal and external relationships, and oversee the funding and documentation of our projects. This position offers the potential for rapid career progression in a fast-paced startup environment.
Key Responsibilities :
- Methodology Support: Guide research engineers in adopting and implementing effective project management methodologies suited to our research and innovation projects.
- Roadmap Development: Collaborate with research engineers to design comprehensive project roadmaps that align with Sweetch Energy’s strategic goals and timelines.
- Project Planning: Assist in creating detailed project plans, including defining key activities, timelines, and resource needs.
- Milestone Definition: Establish clear, achievable project milestones to facilitate progress tracking and ensure timely delivery.
- Coordination and Integration: Oversee the coordination of interconnected projects, optimizing resource use and promoting synergies.
- Reporting and Documentation: Maintain accurate project documentation and provide regular status updates to senior management and stakeholders. Collaborate with research engineers to draft technical reports that consolidate our internal technical and scientific assets.
- Internal Relationships: With the CIO, manage relationships with Product Development teams in a client/supplier dynamic, formalizing internal demands, integrating them into the research roadmap, and reporting on project progress.
- External Relationships: Oversee contractual collaborations with external laboratories and universities, working closely with the CIO.
- Innovation Funding: Research and manage public funding programs for innovation, including preparing and monitoring funding applications and reports with the CIO.
Ideal Candidate Profil:
- Educational Background: Master’s Degree or PhD in a scientific field such as Chemistry, Electro-Chemistry, or Physics.
- Proven track record of leadership in Project Management in a ClimateTech / Biotech / Medtech / company.
Required Skills :
- Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
- Excellent interpersonal skills.
- Excellent organizational skills, proactive attitude, and entrepreneurial mindset.
- Proficiency in online productivity and collaboration tools.
- Fluent in both English and French, with outstanding oral and written communication skills.
Personal Attributes : Quick learner, pragmatic, hands-on, with the ability to make decisions under uncertainty and excel in a dynamic startup environment.
