Your impact :


The Senior E-commerce platform Project Manager role is part of Rexel group IT department which is part of Rexel Transformation. Rexel group IT is in charge of implementing, rolling-out, supporting and maintaining business applications such as Webshop or data solutions for customers and suppliers for several countries across the globe.


Project & Service managers are the main point of contact for Rexel group and countries’ business & IT teams in order to prepare, coordinate, deploy and support & maintain projects in production.


As a Senior E-commerce platform Project Manager your main role is to lead the Project and Service Management team. This team has 2 objectives: deliver Webshop related projects – such Webshop rollouts or even Webshop overhaul – and coordinate efforts of multiple teams to deliver additional (new or existing) features in countries’ webshops.



Your day to day :


Project management:

As part of this task, please note that a critical Webshop overhaul project is planned for 2024-2026. It is one of the main topics to address in this role.

  • Lead delivery collaborative process between technical teams based in various locations (including India and Poland) and in coordination with functional teams
  • Proactively manage risks and dependencies
  • Set up action plan based on existing KPIs
  • Manage digital business and countries expectations
  • Reporting to application managers and to main project management
  • Coordination with development teams and follow-up with other project managers
  • Prepare and coordinate activities and follow-up with partners (ex: SAP, Accenture, Capgemini)
  • Identification and follow-up of actions for all streams and parties
  • Inform and coordinate countries or Rexel departments
  • Manage planning and risks
  • Serve as escalation point of contact for other teams and vendors
  • Communicate around pitfalls and improvement to broader audience (Directors, country e-commerce manager, …)


You are responsible for Service Management which is operated by a Rexel employee, part of your team



Country management & Feature activation management:

  • Be a referrer for countries on Webshop features: Build strong knowledge on all features – existing and upcoming –
  • Organize and facilitate monthly meetings with countries sharing updates on platform availability, major production issues and important projects
  • Be a technical point of contact on the Webshop eco-system for web services, datafiles and third-parties integration
  • Prime contact for countries to activate existing features (“Feature activation” process)
  • Prepare and perform demos to countries
  • Perform functional/technical gap analysis and requirement review with countries (business and IT teams)
  • Coordination of stakeholders and efforts through integration and until go-live (ERP developments, Tibco mappings, Hybris configurations)
  • Support during testing of feature; Issues & fixes follow-up
  • Responsible for delivery on time and on budget; identify and manage risks
  • Synchronization and report to the release manager to be ready for each monthly release in production
  • Facilitator for the rollout of new features (“Sprint UAT” process) on Desktop, Mobile and APP
  • Synchronization between Webshop and local countries ERPs roadmap
  • Coordination of developments with Tibco middleware
  • Support countries in UAT execution. Follow-up issues and their resolution
  • Synchronization and report to the release manager to be ready for each monthly release in production
  • Takes part in documenting features in a central repository (gathering existing information mainly)


Release Management:

  • Plan all types of releases and share release planning to all
  • Improve or create release checklists and control validation of checklist for each release
  • Release readiness coordination with countries (business & IT), infra host, third party solutions, development team and internal teams
  • Control release quality level
  • Define and monitor Release health KPIs and share reporting to management
  • Participate in CAB meetings to discuss release scope and/or roadblocks
  • Lead and co-ordinate the Go-Live activities including the execution of the deployment Plans and checklists.
  • Conduct release retros and implement/follow-up related action plan
  • Continually work towards making improvements in the release process



Your strenghts and skills :


  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field
  • 5+ years of previous project management experience in eCommerce
  • At least 14 years of experience overall mostly on IT projects
  • Demonstrated ability to coordinate cross-functional work teams toward task completion
  • Demonstrated effective leadership and analytical skills
  • Advanced written and verbal communication skills
  • International experience. Must have worked with a distributed team
  • At ease with delivery in an Agile context (ideally SAFE methodology)
  • Tools: MS Office, ITSM such as Jira
