C# Developer – Contract - Energy & Commodities TradingLocation: Paris, FranceRole OverviewWe are seeking an experienced C# Developer to join a high-performing engineering team responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining distributed backend systems. The role focuses on building scalable, resilient microservices using modern .NET technologies, supporting business-critical platforms operating in a high-throughput, low-latency environment.Key Responsibilities:Design, develop, and maintain C#/.NET backend services within a microservices architectureBuild and consume RESTful APIs to support internal and external integrationsContribute to the design of distributed systems with a focus on scalability, reliability, and performanceCollaborate with cross-functional teams including architects, DevOps, and product stakeholdersParticipate in code reviews, technical design discussions, and system optimisation effortsKey Requirements:Strong hands-on experience with C# and the .NET ecosystem Proven experience designing and operating microservices-based systemsSolid background in building and maintaining backend services and APIsGood understanding of distributed systems concepts (e.g. service communication, fault tolerance, observability)Experience working with modern development practices such as CI/CD and automated testingNice to Have:Experience within the energy trading or commodities domainExposure to real-time or near-real-time optimisation systemsFamiliarity with event-driven architectures, messaging systems, or streaming platformsExperience with Angular (1-2+ Years)Visa sponsorship is not provided for this position.
