Aimsun is expanding its Paris office and seeking an experienced Principal Transport Modeller / Project Manager to lead the delivery of innovative transport modelling projects across France. This is a client-facing role that combines technical expertise with strong project management skills. Technical Delivery: Support the development and application of transport models using Aimsun Next and other modelling tools, including tasks such as model building, calibration/validation, testing, auditing, and analysis of outputs. Client Engagement: Build and maintain strong client relationships to ensure successful project outcomes and identify future opportunities. Reporting & Proposals: Interpret data and prepare clear, high-quality technical reports and proposals for clients. Innovation: Contribute to Aimsun Live and Aimsun Solutions projects as part of a multidisciplinary global team. Team Leadership: Mentor and support junior team members, including line management responsibilities, to develop technical skills and career potential. Compliance: Adhere to Aimsun’s policies, processes, and guidelines relevant to your role. Must-haves: Degree (or equivalent) in a relevant discipline such as Engineering, Geography, Mathematics, Sciences, or Data Science/Computing. Master’s degree is desirable. Proven experience in project management and governance. Strong technical background in transport modelling, ideally with Aimsun Next (experience with other modelling software also considered). Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English and French (both essential for client-facing work). Team leadership and mentoring experience. Coding/programming skills (e.g., Python, C++, or scripting for automation). Nice-to-haves: Masters Degree. Additional languages provided there is a strong command.
