Senior Perfumer

Founded in 1758 in Grasse in the South of France, Maison Sozio is one of the pioneers in fine French perfumery.The history of the Maison Sozio goes back to one of the very first families of perfumers in Grasse, having been at the origin of the community of glove-makers and perfumers.With the integration of Synarome in 2021, Sozio ties back to its legacy by returning to its initial activity: raw materials. This acquisition enhances Sozio perfumers’ palette of premium ingredients – both synthetic and natural – and iconic specialties such as Ambrarome and Animalis.With these generations of learning and knowledge, an expertise in natural fragrances and an international presence, Sozio has become a key player in the perfumery landscape.We are seeking a highly creative and experienced Senior Perfumer.The position will be at Sozio Turkey, Istanbul Creation Center (Anatolian side) with an internal training period of 6 months at SOZIO France at Levallois-Perret.As a Senior Perfumer,you will lead projects for strategic clients ,translate market insights into unique fragrance creations.Key Responsibilities :• To develop creative fragrance formulas, leveraging your deep understanding of fragrance components to craft scents that align with market trends and customer preferences.• To conduct detailed qualitative and quantitative analysis of fragrances. (to be able to use GC-MS)• To utilize advanced techniques and instruments to evaluate the composition, performance, and stability of fragrances• To work closely with our creative teams in France and Dubai, contributing to the development of new fragrances and ensuring that our global creative vision is realized in all products.• To collaborate with our global perfumers, product development, and marketing teams to ensure the successful creation and launch of fragrance products. To provide analytical and creative input during the formulation process.• To balance artistry with technical,regulatory,and cost constraints.Qualifications:• Bachelor's degree in chemistry or a relevant discipline• Minimum 7 years of experience in Fragrance creation, with a track record of market successes in multiple categories.• Proficiency in fragrance formulation and experience with chromatographic techniques (GC-MS, HPLC) and other analytical instruments.• Strong creative abilities in fragrance composition, with a proven track record of developing successful fragrance products.• Ability to balance artistic and creation with technical and commercial constraints.• English fluent.
