Job Opportunity: Senior Network Security Engineer - Paris, France
Role: Senior Network Security Engineer
Duration: 6-month rolling contract, long-term mission
Location: Paris, France (3 days on-site, 2 days remote initially)
Start Date: September (Interviews and selection process before holidays)
Languages: Fluent in English and French
Mission Details: The mission consists of working within the Group Infrastructure department as a Network and Security Engineer. Under the supervision of the Infrastructure Manager, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and managing secure network infrastructure to ensure the integrity, confidentiality, and availability of the company's IT assets, its supervision, and preventive actions.
The service provider will collaborate closely with Infra, cybersecurity, application, and vendor teams to enhance the overall security posture and network performance to achieve this.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, configure, and deploy network solutions to meet business requirements.
- Ensure scalability and reliability of network infrastructure.
- Implement and manage firewalls, VPNs, IDS/IPS, and other security solutions.
- Monitor network performance and security incidents.
- Troubleshoot and resolve network and security issues promptly.
- Participate in the secure design of applications and infrastructures (LLD & HLD).
- Provide technical support and training to staff on network and security issues.
- Maintain accurate documentation of network configurations, security processes, and procedures.
- Implement and manage security components (firewalls, Azure WAF, Bastion, antivirus, SOC agent & EDR solutions).
- Manage and execute recurring security operations, applying recommendations from the Cyber Security team.
- Implement and manage proactive monitoring tools to detect suspicious activities.
- Analyze security logs and alerts to identify potential threats.
- Coordinate responses to security incidents and implement action plans.
- Identify vulnerabilities in systems and applications.
- Apply security patches promptly in collaboration with teams.
- Conduct regular security audits, vulnerability assessments, and remediation.
- Participate in annual audit campaigns by assessing risks and establishing remediation plans.
- Conduct cybersecurity audits based on NIST standards.
- Execute SWIFT audits (Customer Security Program for Treasury) and internal audit controls.
- Coordinate third-party penetration tests.
Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities Required:
Knowledge:
- Extensive experience in network administration and security.
- In-depth knowledge of security technologies, network protocols, and operating systems.
- Good knowledge of data center and cloud infrastructure architectures (Microsoft Azure is a plus).
- Proficiency in security technologies such as VPN, firewalls, routing, WAF, VLAN, SSL VPN, Anti-DDOS, IPS/IDS, Proxy, EDR, SIEM.
- Familiarity with government security frameworks like NIST.

- Data: Azure SQL, SQL Servers, Power BI, Oracle

- Security: Microsoft Defender for Endpoints EDR, Tenable, Rapid7
