Staff Software Engineer (Full stack)
Type: Remote, Worldwide
CaseBlink is a US based startup at the cutting edge of legal tech innovation. We are pioneering the development of AI aimed at significantly reducing the tasks that bog down legal work. As an early member of our startup, you will collaborate closely with the founding team, playing a critical role in the early days of a successful US technology company.
Responsibilities
- Lead the design, development and maintenance of new features across our tech stack (ReactJS FE and Python Flask BE).
- Architect our backend codebase to be scalable and maintainable as we grow our customer base and expand our features (Python flask)
- Create user-friendly and visually appealing front-end features using React.
- Collaborate closely with ML engineers/data scientists to ensure seamless integration of our core libraries.
- Provide technical guidance and coaching to a team of software engineers - code reviews, removing obstacles and solving technical challenges.
- Implement best practices across all code bases and work with the CTO to fine tune infrastructure, internal processes and security.
- Explore and implement scalable architectural and infrastructure solutions to meet our business needs.
Technical Skills
- Must have:
- Experience with Python/flask and RESTful APIs.
- Experience with React.js, TypeScript, JavaScript, Redux, and CSS.
- Experience using Git (github), Jira, slack and figma as part of a full stack development workflow.
- Nice to have: Familiarity with Firebase, Google Cloud Platform, Vercel, and generative AI.
Soft Skills
- Fluent English communication skills are necessary. Some of your team members only speak English.
- Interest and ability to collaborate and be a leader by example on a team of engineers.
- A product owner mindset, with a sharp focus on user experience and performance.
- Proven ability to work independently, demonstrating initiative, ownership and commitment.
Experience
- 7-10 years of experience as a full stack engineer with exposure to complex project environments.
Work setup
- Remote, with the possibility of weekly in an office space
