Senior Contract and Commercial Manager for Industrial Construction

As part of its establishment in France, AESC is recruiting for the Lambres-lez-Douai site for a Senior Contract and Commercial Manager for Industrial Construction position. You will report to the Head of CAPEX/GID Purchasing and the Head of EU Purchasing. Your role will be crucial in managing contracts and commercial activities related to industrial construction projects. You will collaborate closely with internal teams to ensure compliance with quality standards, timelines, and budget requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Establish procurement strategy for construction services, engineering, and materials based on the project’s construction plan.
- Stay up to date with the latest market trends and continuously source the best products and services at the most reasonable prices.
- Create and execute the procurement strategy.
- Organize bidding, vendor selection, and nominations.
- Manage vendor contracts and track payments.
- Renegotiate business plans based on project adjustments.
- Use SAP to manage PO/PR requirements.
- Proactively seek cost-saving solutions to enable industrial development.
- Partner with global suppliers and vendors to scale product development.
- Coordinate and support global plant launch equipment and material-related project issues.
Required Skills:
- Master’s degree in Engineering.
- Graduate studies in Project Management or procurement qualifications are preferred.
- Over 8 years of experience in purchasing for large industrial construction projects (>$100m capex).
- Experience in project controls or construction management preferred.
- Hi-tech, construction, or automotive industry experience.
- Strong in Strategic Sourcing, Opportunity Analyses, and Contract Negotiations.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
- Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Power BI.
- Ability to manage projects within a high-performance, cross-functional team under tight deadlines.
- Strong leadership and mentoring abilities.
Required Personal Traits:
- Excellent interpersonal skills, capable of engaging with cross-functional teams.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple projects.
- Unwavering positive attitude toward sustained hard work and problem-solving.
✅ Job Requirements:
- English C1 level essential.
- Full driving license.
- Travel may be required within the EU.
