Senior Application Architecture Specialist - Contract - Strasbourg


Are you a Senior Application Architect with a desire to impact the work of one of the Europe's most important governmental institutions? If so, this role could be great for you.


What will I be doing?


As the Senior Architect you will be entrusted, first and foremost with the Architecture and design of all IT systems, this includes the design and development of component architecture and building blocks.


You will also:


  • Review current system architecture
  • Oversee/ co-ordinate and analyse the integration of multiple IT systems and explore the possibility of upgrading systems to remain in line with market standards
  • Assist in the testing, technical documentation, deployment, evaluation and reporting of company wide systems
  • Act as the technical interface between project leaders/ managers and the development team and be able to give technical presentations
  • Perform Data analysis and modelling
  • Produce Software architecture documents
  • Participate in technical working groups/ progress meetings and meet end users


What do I need for this role?


  • A minimum of 6 years hands on Software Development experience
  • 2 years experience with both the architecture and design of IT systems
  • 2 years in experience in the development of information systems
  • A minimum of 2 years experience with both UML or CASE tools
  • Experience with web technologies + Linux/ UNIX or AIX Enterprise environments
  • Experience in service bus architecture + experience with relational databases
  • Good knowledge of Object Oriented Programming languages/ DBMS and process analysis
  • An in-depth knowledge of service orientated architecture/ modelling tools and application design
  • Knowledge of interoperability technology (e.g. web services, message oriented middleware, service oriented bus)
  • Open Group TOGAF (level 1 and 2) certification advantageous (in depth knowledge of the framework) together with knowledge of Enterprise Architecture principles.


This role will require your participation in multi-lingual meetings you must have a minimum of B2 English and if you can also speak French.fantastic.
