Location: Cainiao Logistics Warehouse – 5 Avenue Bernard Vos, 69780 MionsReporting Line: Site DirectorContract Type: CDI (Contract Cadre)Schedule: 35 hours per week with night shift hoursRole SummaryThe Sorting Operations Manager is responsible for overseeing the end-to-end performance of sorting activities at the Mions logistics center. This includes planning, execution, and continuous improvement of parcel sorting operations, ensuring alignment with delivery schedules, quality standards, and cost targets. The role requires strong leadership, analytical skills, and cross-functional coordination to maintain operational excellence in a high-volume, time-sensitive environment.Key ResponsibilitiesManage daily and weekly sorting operations based on parcel volume forecasts and delivery partner capacityPlan and allocate sorting resources, including personnel and equipment, to meet operational targetsCoordinate with internal teams (Linehaul, Delivery, Commercial, Quality, Projects) to ensure smooth executionMonitor and control operating costs, material consumption, and resource utilizationTrack and improve quality indicators and customer satisfaction metricsCollaborate with the quality team for daily and weekly reviews of performance dataIdentify root causes of operational issues and implement corrective actionsEnsure compliance with safety standards and operational proceduresLead and develop sorting teams to maintain high performance and engagementWorking ConditionsFast-paced logistics environment with night shift operationsTeam-based work culture focused on performance and qualityOpportunity for career progressionMust-Have Requirements:Minimum 5 years of experience in a similar logistics or warehouse operations roleProven ability to manage sorting flows, personnel planning, and operational KPIsFluent in written and spoken EnglishProficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)Experience with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS)Strong analytical skills and results-oriented mindsetAbility to lead cross-functional coordination and drive continuous improvementGood-to-Have QualitiesExperience in managing peak volume periods and exception handlingFamiliarity with parcel tracking systems and logistics automation toolsStrong communication and interpersonal skillsAdaptability to organizational changes and evolving operational needs
