We are looking for Python developer (knowledge of Celery library and GPU is required) for one of our clients located in West Flanders, Belgium.


General conditions:

  • Start date: ASAP
  • Hybrid policy: 1d/week onsite in Kortrijk Belgium, the rest is remote
  • Project duration: initial 6 months with extension
  • Contract: freelance via Mind


Role summary:

  • There's a ‘high-level architecture’ of the software, eg integration engine, connection to the cloud, dockers that would contain the algorithms.
  • We are looking for a person who is ready to translate that architecture, to the code – advise the team on the tools and libraries to be used, and do that for an enterprise graded software
  • DevOps part is covered by our cloud specialists.



Responsibilities:

- Software development in an eco-system at the intersection of Python, C/C++, Machine Learning and GPU acceleration (NVIDIA ecosystem) with a strong ability to select the right tool for the job.

- Performs translation of research-based applications (Python, Jupyter-Notebook, Tensorflow, ) into highperforming GPU-accelerated components using Python, C++, CUDA, and related technologies.

- Guards the overall performance of the (high-resolution) image processing pipeline in a containerized Linux environment, guarding and optimizing the overall system performance.

- Delivers high-quality and maintainable code, including documentation and unit testing, while coaching colleagues.

- Uses modern best practices and tools, including Jenkins, Artifactory, Confluence, Jira, and Github, with the capability to set up and configure for the team.

- Brings experience in designing interfaces to other components as an added advantage.

- Demonstrates expertise in parallel computing and/or image processing, considered a valuable plus.


Profile:

- 5 years+ of professional experience in software development. Experience in healthcare related industry/technology is a plus.

- 5 years+ as Python developer, understanding of Celery library is very strong plus

- Has experience with technologies and skills mentioned in Responsibilities: (main ones: Python, C/C++, Machine Learning and GPU acceleration)

- Is motivated to produce the code that stands on its own, requiring no additional clarification or

documentation.

  • Its a freelance assignment but we can offer a permanent contract too in case you prefer that
