Lagardère Travel Retail is one of the world leaders in Travel Retail, serving passengers in airports, railway stations and other concessions in 42 countries. In the context of a global reorganization, we are creating a new Group Operational Excellence Department, with the overall objective to drive top- and bottom-line store performance by continuously improving in-store execution leveraging internal and external expertise and innovation, support openings or distressed operations to foster profitable expansion.


This new department will include four teams:

• Store solutions

• Local Supply Chain, Loss Prevention and Transversal Projects management

• Operational quality

• Indirect purchasing


This position will be a great opportunity to:

  • Participate to the creation of a new department and function within the Group with strategic missions, working with different top managers
  • Be greatly exposed to top management, all Businesses (Duty Free & Fashion, Travel Essentials and Foodservice), all countries and many departments / functions
  • Manage a variety of challenging projects and topics and: this is a great springboard to quickly gain a transversal understanding of Group’s activities, learn on many aspects and evolve in the company


MISSIONS :

The Project Manager will intervene on various missions across all the functions and topics addressed by the Operational Performance department, depending on needs. He / She will be in charge of providing help on major / complex projects or directly managing a given project – for the different projects managed; he/she will functionally report to the head of department in charge of the project.


For the first 12 months, the Project manager will support in particular the Indirect Purchasing team on a strategic structuring of the function that is currently being repositioned; but will also have the opportunity to support all the other teams and to get a comprehensive understanding of the department’s projects and Group global activity.


Examples of projects that could be managed:

  • Implementation and analysis of a satisfaction survey towards Indirect Purchasing team’s internal clients, definition of action plan depending on results and implementation of the action plan
  • Implementation of annual Strategic Indirect Purchasing reviews will all countries: definition of the objectives, template, briefing of countries, data analysis, synthesis of annual strategy by country and globally; then follow up
  • Launch and animation of a global Indirect Purchasing community and international Academy
  • Support for definition and implementation of a workflow management tool for Indirect Purchasing Spends
  • Support on Operational topics: support for documentation of procedures and good practices for the opening of a new country, implementation of a workflow management tool for opening of new operations; support for the roll out of operational quality tools, ad hoc support on projects or business cases documentation


PROFILE

You have a Master in Management or Engineering and ideally you have :

  • Minimum 3 years of professional experience,
  • An experience in the following fields : Strategy, Project management, Consulting,
  • Financial / quantitative analysis acumen as well as documentation skills


You have a good command of project management (organisation, coordination, prioritization, etc.) and Microsoft Office (in particular Excel and PowerPoint). Ideally, you have an experience with SAP and/or Master Data Management. You are fluent in English and French (spoken and written).


You have a taste for challenging environments and assignments and are recognised for your flexibility, curiosity and versatility ; your autonomy, decision-making and ability to deal with the unexpected.

You have a strong ability to get things done while meeting deadlines, and good anticipation, organization and priority management skills.

You also have synthesis skills (oral and written) and good communication and interpersonal skills.
