Job Title: Senior Process Engineer
Location: Paris, France
Contract: 12 Months, Renewable
Client: Major Energy EPC
About the Role:
- Develop and optimize process designs for energy projects, including oil & gas and renewable energy sectors.
- Perform process simulations and modelling using industry-standard software
- Conduct process safety assessments (HAZOP, SIL, etc.) and ensure compliance with local and international standards and regulations.
- Assist in the preparation of process flow diagrams (PFDs), P&IDs (Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams), and other technical documentation.
- Perform process calculations, including heat and material balances, pressure drops, and equipment sizing.
- Support project teams in conducting feasibility studies, technical evaluations, and cost estimates.
- Collaborate with design, mechanical, electrical, and control engineering teams to ensure integrated project delivery.
- Provide technical support during the construction, commissioning, and operation phases of projects.
- Participate in client meetings, offering process engineering expertise and solutions to meet client needs.
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives, identifying opportunities to enhance processes and reduce costs.
- Ensure adherence to safety protocols, quality standards, and project timelines.
About You:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Chemical Engineering, Process Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in process engineering, preferably within the energy, oil & gas, or renewable energy industries.
- Proficiency in process simulation and modelling software
- Strong knowledge of process safety management, including HAZOP and risk assessments.
- Experience in designing and optimizing complex processes, including heat and mass balances, equipment sizing, and process flow diagrams (PFDs/P&IDs).
- Familiarity with industry codes and standards (ASME, API, IEC, etc.).
- Strong problem-solving, analytical, and decision-making skills.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Fluency in both French and English is preferred.
- Knowledge of renewable energy systems and technologies is a plus.
- Experience in project management or supporting the execution of large-scale engineering projects.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
