In our agile, collaborative environment, your designs and code will have a real impact, powering the daily work of our customers worldwide.Responsibilities:Developing quality software that is used by some of the world's largest technology firms, fixed income asset managers, and custodian banksParticipating in Agile meetings to contribute to development strategies and product roadmapOwning critical processes that are highly secure, available and scalableReacting quickly to emerging technologiesEncouraging collaboration and stimulating creativityDebugging, fixing, testing and validating code in development and production environments.Understanding, responding to, and addressing customer issues with empathy and in a timely mannerContributing to design meetings and suggesting architecture changesPerforming code reviews with a focus on high-level design choices and business logic interpretationsWriting and maintaining automated tests spanning all levels of software architectureDocumenting software implementation, architecture, design, and APIsRequirements: 3-5+ years’ experience building software components.Experience with an object-oriented language, preferably JavaStrong problem-solving skillsExperience in relational databasesBachelor’s degree in computer science or related fieldExcellent verbal and written communication skills.Fluency in French and English.Desired Experience or Skills: Experience creating & using web-service APIs.Professional experience working in a SaaS environmentFamiliarity with micro-services architectureFintech industry experienceMachine-learning experienceTechnical stack:As a Software Development Engineer at Clearwater, you will be working with a robust and modern technology stack, including:Java / Spring BootJPA / HibernateHazelcastReactJS / TypeScriptMariaDB / Aurora / MongoDB / DocumentDBKubernetes / DockerA solid understanding and experience with these technologies will enable you and your team to deliver high-quality features and robust solutions across all layers of our technical stack.
