Your tasks
  • From the ING customer interface to the nooks and crannies of the backend, you will design, implement and maintain the code for our insurance products and take responsibility for ensuring that everything runs as it should.
  • You are our guarantor for the entire lifecycle of our insurance products - from conception, implementation and technical testing to live delivery and technical documentation.
  • Even when it comes to further developing applications or defining and implementing necessary interfaces, you will bring all your expertise to bear and ensure efficient and careful implementation.
  • And, of course, you ensure that development is carried out in accordance with the architecture specifications and guidelines and ensure excellent software quality, e.g. via pair programming and code reviews.
Your profile
  • Degree in (business) informatics or mathematics or a comparable qualification
  • Very good knowledge of front-end development with HTML, CSS, JavaScript and at least one modern framework (e.g. React, Angular, Vue.js or similar)
  • Experience with Node.js, web components, responsive design and ideally Typescript
  • Sound know-how in backend development with the tech stack Java, Spring/Springboot, Hibernate, Oracle, Kafka as well as practice with microservices and REST API
  • Insights into cloud and containerization technologies (Openshift, Docker, Kubernetes) an advantage
  • Passion for state-of-the-art technologies, agile development approaches, clean code and test-driven development (TDD)
  • Ideally basic knowledge of banking operations
  • Very good abstraction and analysis skills, solution-oriented and structured way of working
  • Communication skills, commitment and enjoy working in a team
  • Openness to technology and willingness to learn and develop
  • Very good written and spoken English, German an advantage
