In 2022/23, the Group posted €6.6 bn turnover.For more information, visit tereos.comContract : PermanentPosition location: 1 rue de Senlis, Moussy-le-Vieux 77230 FRAYour missions:As a senior commodity analyst, you will be developing and improving analysis and bringing insights on Energy markets: Gas, Power and CO2 -- used to form an in-house fundamental view on those markets.The scope of analysis covers EU and all related supplying regions that may impact fundamentals (supply/demand), and pricing/arbitrages. The role holder will play a critical role in delivering analysis to our internal clients, based on their current and anticipated needs and feedback, and based on own expertise.You will develop advanced models and market analysis used to deliver data-driven strategic insights into energy markets and that primarily focus on the mid-term.You will report directly into the Head of Research and will work with colleagues and internal clients at all levels of seniority to enhance Tereos' decision making.Your day-to-day activities:Maintain and continually improve our process and models aiming to guarantee a proper quality decision analysis.Ensure timely updates and quality checks of databases.Refine and develop models to measure and estimate the impact of each of the Supply and Demand market driver (ex.: weather vs demand, prices and macroeconomic perspective vs industrial demand, arbitrages vs supply availability, etc).Improve dashboards and presentations for a clear and objective communication of market insights.Maintain rigor and accuracy of analysis.Discipline in respecting routines, development deadlines and objectives set by managers and internal clients.Engage with Tereos traders daily to exchange insights impacting markets and our business.Provide weekly updates on key factors in Gas, Power, and CO2 markets, highlighting risk flags that could impact market trends.Collaborate with trader and the research team on related markets, processes, and models.Show proactiveness in identifying trends and opportunities to enhance in-house analysis.Drive problem-solving and suggest innovations in data and technology to strengthen analysis.Your profile:University degree in Economics, Engineering, Finance or Statistics.Experience: 5 years in commodity research and/or trading, with specific knowledge of energy markets, especially French/EU markets.Fluent in both French and English.Advanced proficiency in Python, Excel, PowerBI; Snowflake experience is a plus.Reasons to join us:Joining Tereos means giving yourself the opportunity to develop within a cooperative group that is a leader in its markets.
