They design, develop, and launch credit products across the globe. The team manages our products from day one to the end — developing the back and front-end, the data science infrastructure, and then creating a local setup in each country with scalable risk management and portfolio management solutions. It's a big job, but our people are a credit to us all.As a Mortgage Credit Manager, you'll be responsible for designing the credit risk policies, procedures, and strategies around launching Revolut’s mortgage retail lending in France. This is a new-ish product in our portfolio, and as that book grows, you'll be managing validation of the underwriting strategy, as well as leading the charge for preventative and reactive actions to the market and product offering.Up for the challenge? Let's get in touch.What you’ll be doingCreating mortgage lending policies, procedures, and frameworksHelping to build and scale global underwriting systemsMaking data-driven decisions with special focus on marginal decision makingAdjusting risk return requirements and managing/adjusting portfolio returns as new data comes to lightSupporting the annual budget, sales forecast, and planning processes by assessing market/industry trends through data gathering and analysisTracking, communicating, and drawing insights from performance of ongoing initiatives while staying on top of all credit KPIs through intensive monitoringIdentifying operational inefficiencies and managing the implementation of small scale change within the Credit functionEnsuring approval and good rating of first line credit risk function from second line, third line, and regulatorsWhat you'll needA proven track record of managing credit risk for mortgage products and/or credit cards, unsecured personal loans, etc.A bachelor's degree in a quantitative/analytical field like engineering, statistics, physics, maths, economics, or management from a top universityA solid understanding of credit policy governance framework, behavioural scoring models, and the value of speed to marketKnowledge to work through 2nd/3rd line of defence in a competent mannerTo deliver excellent results that exceed requirements while planning appropriately to meet multiple objectivesTo be forward-thinking on inter-dependencies to proactively identify and resolve issuesThe ability to explain complex concepts in simple mannerCritical thinking skills capable of processing a lot of information for optimal decision-makingExcellent working knowledge of SQL, R, and Python, plus other data analysis tools and a willingness to learn new technology to help business scaleNice to haveBuilding a global financial super app isn’t enough.
