He/she oversees the development and delivery of critical software solutions, ensuring that solutions align with the Alstom Urban Platform's strategic goals and meet quality standards. His/her role encompasses technical oversight, team management, and collaboration with cross-functional departments to drive software excellence and operational efficiency.Key responsibilities:Defining and implementing technical strategies and roadmaps in alignment with the Business's objectives.Driving the scaling of the Software department in line with business expansion and providing technical vision and leadership for software engineering across multiple locations.Managing the software engineering department's resource allocation (+100 people internal and other units and/or in overseas and sub-contractors) in alignment with program-projects prioritization.Leading and managing software engineering teams, fostering a culture of innovation, trust, collaboration, and continuous improvement.Mentoring and developing team members, including hiring, training, and performance evaluation.Overseeing the design, development, and delivery of high-quality software products.Collaborating with product management, design, and other stakeholders to ensure successful product releases and ensure that programs-projects are delivered on time and within budget.Ensuring adherence to best practices in coding, testing, and deployment, and maintaining high standards of software quality.Driving the resolution of technical challenges and leading efforts to improve software engineering processes.Establishing metrics and monitoring systems to track performance and productivity.Ensuring compliance with regulatory and safety railways standards and addressing security concerns throughout the software development lifecycle.WHO ARE YOU:At least 3-5 years of experience leading large teams, and 7 or more years of software engineering experience.A strong foundation in embedded software development practices, programming languages, architecture, and system design.Management and knowledge of alternative practices such as Agile is desirable.Technical knowledge in language RBSE or MBSE is desirable.Ability to lead and manage teams effectively. Capable of mentoring, motivating, and guiding team members towards achieving technical excellence.Effective communication with peers and senior leaders.
