**Visual Journalist, based in Paris, France**

**About the Role**

As a **Visual Journalist **at Thomson Reuters, you will:

- Process daily content, editing and script writing in English
- Provide creative storytelling ideas
- React quickly to breaking news
- Have an interest in new technologies
- Create and maintain visual planning entries for the day-to-day schedules as well as for long-term planning
- Identify news stories and interesting story angles, coordinating between visuals and text teams sometimes across the region
- Back-up processing from Brussels and other bureau
- Tackle stories from a diversity of viewpoints, experiences, and perspectives.
- Travel, on occasion, to back up bureau in other countries

**About You**

To be considered for the role of **Visual Journalist**, you will have:

- Excellent news judgement and a passion to deliver stories to our clients
- Ability to write scripts with a high level of English
- Ability to use a video camera is a bonus but not a must have
- Enthusiasm for travel
- Eagerness to participate in planning and organisation of news stories
- Creativity - that special touch that can make our story telling stand out
- Be calm under pressure and enthusiastic
- Strong team player, able to collaborate with text and photos across multiple offices
- High level of French with Dutch or any other European language a bonus
