We have an exciting new opportunity to join us in Rives (38), France, **this is a 6-month Fixed term** opportunity for an experienced Supplier Quality Development Engineer to join us to cover a period of maternity leave for an existing member of the team. As Supplier Quality Development Engineer, you will be responsible for managing the relationship between the tier-2 suppliers and the customers concerning quality topics, responsible for understanding and exceeding our customer's expectations for quality service, and ensuring the daily tasks required to ensure the delivery of products.
You will be working closely with all work streams to manage and improve the supplier's performance to optimize our internal ways of working and to offer support to our colleagues based in other countries during absences or times of heavy workload. If you are a versatile, positive, and energetic individual and work equally well on an independent basis or as part of a team with the ability to manage their workload promptly then this role could be a great fit for you. We're looking for someone with excellent attention to detail and a desire to identify areas of improvement and change and someone who should have strong communication, problem-solving, and analytical skills. Experience in the packaging industry, customer-facing, and the ability to work well under pressure is desirable, and well as Advanced English language skills (written and verbal) is required as well as the ability to converse in French.
**Main Responsibilities**
- Customer Complaints Management - Manage the customer complaints (8D methodology, Ishikawa, 5WHY tool, FMEA) and Organize and lead meetings with customers to challenge root causes analysis and follow action plans.
- Supplier Approval Management - Onboard and qualify suppliers in the Supplier Relationship Management (SRM) system, Perform suppliers evaluation and risk assessment and Organize and lead follow up meetings with suppliers
- Regulations Management - Ensure that the suppliers are aligned with the legal requirements
- Continous Improvement - Improve and update the quality system in placeand Follow quality KPIs and manage Supplier Developpement Plan
**About you**
- Fluent in French and English
- Around 2 years expeirence in a similar role, within the packaging industry
- Knowledge and experience with Quality Mehtods within Packaging
- Knowledge of project management methods
- Knowledge of current standards and regulations for packaging industry
