**About the role**:
Your role is to carry out a Post doc work on: "Architecture Description Language and runtime model for the Cloud2IoT Continuum". The postdoc will contribute to the collaborative project "5GMetaverse4Industry" funded by the BPI.

**Scientific objective - results and obstacles to overcome**

The scientific objective is to contribute to the management of geo-distributed infrastructures built on the Cloud2IoT continuum. This includes characterizing and describing Cloud2IoT infrastructures via an ADL.

The main obstacles to overcome are:

- Define methodologies and approaches to extract features from the Cloud2IoT continuum.
- Define an Architecture Description Language (ADL) usable for a model at Run Time.
- Develop the modeling and synchronization mechanisms of the digital twin in Thing'in.

The main expected results are:

- Model usable in Thing'in.
- Implementation of the continuum digital twin: a prototype synchronizing the Cloud2IoT continuum with a digital twin managed in Thing'in.
- Documentation of the results and research locks.

**Additional information**:
This postdoc focuses on the management of massively geo-distributed infrastructures to meet the requirements related to the expansion in complexity of services around the Internet of Things and more generally the management of cyber-physical universes. They are at the crossroads of technologies like Augmented/Virtual/Mixed Reality, Edge Computing, Artificial Intelligence, the Internet of Things and Digital Twins. Cyber-physical universes are linked to another trendy area: the metaverse. More specifically, the postdoc will contribute to the collaborative project "5GMetaverse4Industry" funded by the BPI. Its ambition is to develop and validate the relevance of a new approach to remote collaborative work and teleworking in industry, based on a novel exploitation of the digital twin and mixed reality thanks to 5G technologies. In this project, 5G and mixed reality technologies will be enriched and adapted to allow the realization of two emblematic use cases.

You will be part of a dynamic and experienced team in the field of Device Management (DM), which also implements AI and digital twin techniques, and develops FLAMINGO the federative platform for IoT DM. You will have to collaborate with DM experts as well as researchers contributing to the Thing'in digital twin platform.
