- Seek out and develop new opportunities in the Scrap Recycling Industry that align with our long-term growth strategies;
- Aid in tracking the pipeline of all commodity movement activities;
- Submit proposal packages to the customer;
- Provide marketing intelligence for current sales and future growth;
- Develop and maintain strong customer relationship to understand and anticipate their needs;
- Manage existing accounts, meeting/exceeding key order and revenue metrics;
- Provide weekly buy updates, including tracking of all opportunities;
- Coordinate logistics activities to meet customer needs;
- Travel as needed;
- Support post-transaction activities including product delivery, customer follow-up, and A/R collection;
- Other job-related responsibilities as assigned;
- Coordinate with Industrial Accounts to direct roll off pickups accordingly;
- Seek out new opportunities for material inflow. Both ferrous and non-ferrous;
- On boarding of new customers into PRS systems;
- Develop and maintain customer relationships at all levels to obtain marketing intelligence of current and future customer plans;
- Develop and communicate customer quotes, proposals, and long-term contracts;
- Communicate to customers quality, cost and delivery requirements/standards;
- Work with foundry/mill requirements and future solutions.
- Understand industry dynamics, market trends, and help set company priorities;
- Provide basis for and support of materials forecast to meet customer expectations.

**Education / Training**
- Bachelor’s Degree in business management, Marketing or relevant work experience.

**Qualifications and Experience**
- Strong communication skills, both written and oral; ability to listen and communicate with customers, service technicians, and internal employees; knowledge of Progress Rail products and services;
- Ability to adapt to changes in the market and move with it; knowledge of the industry; ability to find solutions for uncommon problems;
- Strong customer service and sense of urgency;
- Marketing knowledge to determine how to attract a customer base and win business; social/networking skills;
- Computer systems knowledge/skills including MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint.

Essential and Physical Activities Functions:

- Strength - Position involves work in a standard office environment. Frequent sitting. Occasional standing, walking. Rare lifting;
- Motion - Position requires standard repetitive motions and hand/eye coordination associated with research and central office communications; occasional visits to industrial environment may include exposure to extreme conditions, including heat, wet, humidity, loud noises and other industrial hazards requiring the use of PPE;
- Vision/Hearing Requirements - Constant communications, including both talking and hearing;
- Work Environment - Position will typically be located in an office environment;
- Emotional Demands - Ability to adapt to a changing environment; ability to provide excellent customer service and liaise between customers and PR employees; ability to work with a team to accomplish the mission;
- Safety - Position is primarily limited to general office safety requirements; however, occasional visits to industrial environment may require the use of PPE.
