**Context**

In numerous cable market, the Low Fire Hazard (LFH) compound demand increases. In parallel, Nexans has committed to contribute to Carbon Neutrality. The use of recycled material is a major lever to reduce the environment impact of our LFH compounds.

**Purpose**

In this context, the development of LFH formulations containing recycled material is needed, as well as its impact on the compound performances. Moreover, the quantification of the environmental impact is mandatory, to understand and validate the development path.

**Missions**
- Selective bibliography to identify the available recycled materials that could be use within our LFH formulations.
- Formulation development following a Design Of Experiment
- Compound production
- Compound characterization and evaluation
- Recycled sources variability management
- Environmental impact evaluation
- Results synthesis and presentation
- Compound formulation and cable design proposal
- Cable prototype production
- Full analysis of the prototype

**Expected results**

A full study on the use of recycled material within LFH formulation, from the formulations development at laboratory scale to the cable prototyping, by taking into account the impact on the compound properties and by measuring the environmental gain.
