Overview:
**IDC France events** are a suite of high-touch gatherings, bringing together most influential technology decision-makers in France together to exchange experience, best practices, use cases and discuss digital transformation directions across all sectors. IDC events are supported by an international team in Europe as well as a local unit that you will be part of.
In the role of
**Conference Project Manager **at IDC, you will above everything be responsible for the success of conferences held in France and be involved in all aspects of the events from budget planning, to supplier research and selection (venue, hotels, suppliers ), logistics, managing sponsors and more.
**Responsibilities**:
- **Planning conferences** in cooperation with the Country Manager and the Conference Director, determining conference themes and timing, assembling budgets, managing suppliers (hotels, catering, AV, translators and others engaged in the event)
- ** Managing and financially monitoring the conference business**: preparing the annual conference plan, monthly forecasts and submission of final results, cooperating with the local accountant, closely monitoring the conference costs to achieve profit target
- ** Managing agendas**: coordinating and communicating them to and for central sponsors as well as finding IDC France speakers for events
- ** Acquiring delegates**: you will be responsible for reaching target number of delegates per event, managing the delegate recruitment process, updating and cleansing delegate databases periodically
- **Supporting the local conferences Sales**: preparing all necessary conference collaterals related to the events organized by IDC France
- Responsible for creating and/or supervising web and conference marketing related content
- Reporting on progress pre and post events to event partners and the Conference Director
Qualifications:
- **Experience in event or conference planning is mandatory, **focus on IT events would be considered an advantage
- Skills in project budgeting and budget execution and procuring external services relating to event organization
- Project management qualification (PMI, Prince II or others) appreciated but not necessary,
- Fluent written and spoken English and French,
- You are detail-oriented, able to work on marketing content, creative but also can follow implemented processes to ensure the event runs smoothly
- Knowledge of MS Word, PowerPoint and Excel required, experience with Canva and/or html programming language a plus.
